Cannibal Chair restoration

Supposedly this chair belonged to a professor before my client acquired it. This professor went deep into the amazon jungle to study a cannibal tribe and, I would guess to his surprise, got eaten by them. So needless to say it holds some value on that end, not to mention its a pretty nice piece once I refinished and reupholstered it.

This thing

Hey Slim, don't forget to close the lid next time. Thanks though to S&P, my best clients as of late...

Outdoor bench

For the bar Tiga. Treated pine, Cedar. Paint, lauquer. That's it

Bookshelf monitors

Custom reference monitors built from high end Fountek speaker kit. 6.5" aluminum midwoofer and NeoCD3.0 true ribbon tweeter. Enclosure 3/4" hickory plywood and solid hickory, insulated and ported in the rear.

Night "stand"

Wall mounted bedside shelf made from recycled walnut plywood

Keyboard shelf

This piece was built for a medium sized keyboard/synth with storage under. Recycled walnut, birch with a white stain.

Platform Bed

I came up with a design that utilizes one 4x8 sheet of plywood, and I get a lot of people wanting platform beds. It dissasembles into 4 main pieces plus the slats so it's also easy to move.

Record/CD/general closet items

A few pt.2

A few from a few years back

About 5 or 6 years actually, but I'm still relatively happy with them...

This is a somewhat similar shelf/cab/bench/credenza as the last post, this one using "reclaimed" fir from a 110 yr old staircase. The sides are birch ply dyed with Rit clothing dye (which, by the way, is exactly the same stuff as the super expensive aniline wood dyes).

Public Records

Simple cabinet (box with legs) for record player and records. Teak and melamine.

storage cab

Here is a storage cabinet I did for rontoms (bar-600 e Burnside)

office space

Cabinet/shelf unit for the graphic design office of Jen Kilkoyne and her Biz partner Shari. Walnut and birch ply with a random pattern on the shelf facade. Negative capping and industrial hardware were utilized for the space and the client.

Show 2006

'Show 2006 ' went down last night at DWR, and tonight at PNCA for first thursday. Saw alot of OK things. Enjoyed free vodka and black pepper chips. It was crowded and hot.

Here is a couple shots of the cabinet I did for Masu. I had them taken
off the site because I only wanted
my designs on the portfolio page.
The client took this design out of a
magazine and had me build it for
him using these composite boards
made from strips of birch ply. It
gives a kind of zebrawood effect.

Books/Shelves

These shelves were designed to match the refurbished Gunlocke bench you can see in the backround. The frame is poplar and the top 2 shelves are walnut. The bottom shelf on the units are composite stone.

claud desk

A client wanted a desk version of the Claud table. They chose hickory as the wood for the surface and the legs. The rest is finished poplar like the original Claud table.

Towne lounge booths

Here are some pics of one of the booths that I did for a bar called Towne lounge.

claud tables all over

The Claud Table will be featured in this years "Show 2006"presented by Fix studio, Design Within Reach and Pacific Northwest College of art on Oct. 4th at DWR and the rest of the month at PNCA. It will also be featured in an upcoming book by the Spanish publishing company Linea Editorial in a book about office furniture. I think they might have been a bit foggy about the actual size of the piece but, whatever. I'll take it.
